Mango
Mangifera indica
The workhorse of the Jaipur handicraft trade — even texture, takes carving, stain and distressing well.
Jaipur · Since 2005
Nine facilities across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal supplying more than twenty timber species to handicraft makers, furniture manufacturers and exporters. FSC®-certified material available on request.
Who we are
Pooja Wood House began in 2005 in Jaipur, founded by Mr. Ashok J. Shah to supply sawn timber to the city's handicraft and furniture exporters. Two decades on, we operate our own sawing and seasoning units across three states and remain in the same business — getting good, honest hardwood to the people who work it.
Almost everything we sell is farm-grown. Mango, neem, babool, eucalyptus and acacia come off agricultural land and field bunds, not natural forest, which is why a farmer programme sits at the centre of how we source.
What we do
Mango, sheesham, teak, neem, babool, acacia, eucalyptus, mahogany, sal, bamboo and more — sourced from farm plantations rather than natural forest.
Air-drying yards and seasoning chambers across our units, so boards arrive at a stable moisture content and stay flat in your workshop.
Sawn, resawn and machined to the thickness, width and length on your cutting list — not just whatever came off the log.
We sell FSC®-certified products (FSC® C172164). Ask for FSC 100% or FSC Controlled Wood when you place the order.
Nine units across Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, so a large order does not have to wait behind someone else's.
Full-truckload despatch across North India and container loading support for exporters.

Sorted, tallied and loaded. Documentation including FSC claims where the order calls for it.
Sustainability
Whatever we do here at Pooja Wood House, we make sure it is environmentally responsible — and we were early to it within the handicraft community.
Our forest management group certificate covers Small and Low Intensity Managed Forests through the Pooja Farmers Group — constituted as PoojaPlus Farmer Producer Company Limited — which brings smallholder growers into a shared FSC® certification they could not realistically obtain alone.
